5 ways to kick-start your self-growth journey

One of the key elements of healing is growth, and just like a flower, to grow you must nurture.

 

Likewise, it isn’t an overnight process, it is a life-long journey and like any journey, it may be bumpy along the way, and often starting the journey is the hardest part.



So, we want to share with you our top 5 ways to begin your self-growth journey that may make pressing that start button that little bit easier.

 

1. Make a vision board


Vision boards are a fun and creative way of setting your goals, getting to know yourself better, and visualising your life to set a clearer path for your journey.


2. Start a journal


One of the key factors you must consider is how will you keep track of your growth? Journaling is a perfect way to keep track and reflect on your progress. If writing isn't the one for you, then try bullet journaling.


Bullet journaling is an artistic and creative way of tracking progress, there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and examples on Pinterest for you to try!


3. Stop scrolling, start reading


We live in a world where our entire life is on our phones, which can be rather overwhelming despite it's convenience.


Expand your mind, shut off from the real world, and digitally detox by turning off the phone in your downtime and turning to books.

4. Declutter your space


A tidy space creates a tidy mind...


Likewise, starting fresh is that much easier when our space is fresh and clean. So, set aside a day or two to go through your space and clear out what is not needed, clothes that no longer fit or suit your style, and donate to a good cause.


5. Don't be afraid to ask for help


We all need a little help navigating from time to time, so do not be afraid to reach out for help. No one should have to go through their self-growth journey alone, so whether its family, friends, or therapists, ask for help when you need it.
